It could not be more Bomexy than this. A steady diet of low clouds with base near 500 m and tops not reaching more than 2 km, and most of the time only to 1300 m or so. The second and third images are actually from early today, but I could not resist showing these cute little clouds, in part for their hint of a rain beard, and to get a feel for some of the dynamics of very shallow convection. Finally for reference the world view image for the MODIS overpass which is generally between 14 and 17 Z, depending on orbit and satellite.

I’ll go out on a limb and predict a bit more deeper precipitating clouds for later today … although as of this moment the scene today hasn’t changed since yesterday’s radar summary
